The University of Louisville kicked off their capital campaign for their Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium Expansion. The “Coming Full Circle” Campaign will make Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium one of the finest facilities in the country. The $55-million project, will add 10,000 seats to the configuration of the stadium including end zone suites, and add major renovations to the complex facilities for athletes.

Our team at Max Wave Media created the “Coming Full Circle” kick off presentation video and a multitude of high resolution photorealistic 3D renderings to showcase the new facilities and amenities. Our goal was to not only show the new facilities, but to give everyone the excitement of a game day experience. We started the project by creating 12 high resolution renders of their key expansion areas so they could begin their marketing efforts to key donors and potential corporate sponsors. Then we created the full presentation animation that starts with football action footage provided by the university. The final 2-1/2 minute video gives the whole game day experience from tailgating to cheering crowds to the new suite options.

The animated features include daylight and nighttime lighting, fully animated cheering fans that fill the stands, the surrounding campus and roadway, passing trains, bold compelling music with full crowd sounds, a fly through the entire facility showcasing the new club house areas and end zone suites. The university creative team used many of the high resolution renderings by printing them on opaque window film 40 feet long and applied them to the club house windows so boosters could visualize the final project by looking at the windows that were backlit. Many of the interiors were still conceptual in regards to furniture and finishes, so our team ran with the ball to give them the full finished look and branding.

At the end of the kick off event, senior associate athletic director, Mark Jurich, announced that they have already received two major corporate contributions to start the campaign with $5 million from Pepsi for naming rights to a new club area and $3 million from Planet Fitness.
